OPPORTUNITY

We are recruiting a skilled, compassionate Family Physician to join our Lindsay practice under the blended salary model. This model provides:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide comprehensive, continuous primary care to a rostered patient panel, including assessment, diagnosis, chronic disease management, and acute care to a final roster of 1,400 patients
  • Work collaboratively within a full interprofessional team to deliver coordinated, seamless care
  • Participate in same-day access and walk-in services for urgent and unattached patients
  • Conduct health assessments, order and interpret investigations, prescribe medications, and provide follow-up care
  • Perform minor procedures as appropriate to training and scope
  • Contribute to clinical programs including chronic disease prevention, mental health, prenatal care, cardiovascular health, cancer screening and palliative care
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to learners and clinical staff as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in EMR (PS Suite)
  • Participate in after-hours and on-call coverage as scheduled and agreed upon

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) with registration (or eligibility for registration) in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
  • Certification in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) - or eligible
  • Current CMPA membership in good standing (or eligible)
  • Demonstrated commitment to community-based primary care, health equity, and patient-centred practice
  • Experience with or genuine interest in interdisciplinary team collaboration
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organization skills
  • Experience with chronic disease management, mental health or marginalized populations considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (English/French) an asset

COMPENSATION

Base salary of $183,219.57 per annum+ billable services
