Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) is seeking full-time and part-time hospital-based Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to contribute to the top-tier care provided within our Mental Health Program. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an innovative, collegial, and well-established group of psychiatrists during an exciting period of restructuring. • Consultation-Liaison: Providing expert consultation services to admitted patients on the pediatric floor at WRH.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working alongside a specialized team of Social Workers, Child & Youth Workers, and Psychologists to deliver holistic care.
  • On-Call Coverage: Participating in a shared on-call rotation with a dedicated team of Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists.
  • Outpatient Follow-Up: Providing continuity of care through outpatient clinic follow-ups for the aforementioned patient populations.
  • Academic Contribution: Serving as a role model and educator for undergraduate medical students and residents, with eligibility for faculty appointments with the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.

  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy great flexibility with full-time or part-time options and a highly attractive compensation and relocation package.
  • Integrated Practice: Access to personal offices for private patient follow-ups or community referrals through Maryvale Adolescent & Family Services.
  • Community: Live in a welcoming, friendly, and safe community with abundant additional practice opportunities in the surrounding area.

What you bring to Our Team:

  • Hold or be eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or hold US Board Certification (or equivalent) in Psychiatry.
  • Possess or be eligible for Ontario Licensure with the CPSO (CPSO pathway licensure is available for US Board Certified Physicians).
  • A high level of professional competency in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork.

Why Windsor-Essex?

The Windsor-Essex area is ecologically rich with extensive parkland along with a southwest location that extends warm weather activities such a golfing, gardening, and water sports. Windsor offers the unique opportunities of a larger metropolitan area and the benefits of a smaller community. Living directly across the border from Detroit, Michigan places you on a cosmopolitan stage where arts, culture, big league sports, and entertainment are just moments away. Best of all, you can enjoy access to all of these big-city advantages while living in the relative tranquility (and low costs) of a much smaller, friendlier community.
