About Us

Blanche River Health is a 61-bed hospital corporation located in beautiful Northeastern Ontario with two sites serving the communities of Englehart and Kirkland Lake and surrounding areas.

Our Kirkland Lake site in Kirkland Lake, Ontario features 41 medical/surgical beds including 4 ICU beds and 2 step-down beds.

About This Locum Opportunity

Blanche River Health in Kirkland Lake, ON is seeking physicians to cover hospitalist weeks!

• Saturday to Friday 0800-1600
• Team of 2 hospitalists with on call rotations
• Average of 30-35 patients(~15 each)

Our ICU requires the following skills:

• Intubations
• PICC Lines
• Central Lines
• Thoracentesis
• Paracentesis

Remuneration

$10,000 per week + FFS Billing

Available Weeks

• August 29 - September 4
• September 5 - September 11
• September 19 - September 25
• October 17 - October 23
• December 5 - December 11
• December 26 - January 1

Travel & Accommodations

Getting Here Is Easy:

• The Drive: Located 580 km north of Toronto straight up Highway 11.
• The Flight: Fly into Timmins (YTS) and grab a rental car - it's a scenic, traffic-free 1.5-hour drive straight to the hospital. (Or fly into North Bay for a beautiful 2.5-to-3-hour drive north).

Clean, private, fully furnished local housing within 5-minutes of the hospital is arranged directly by us, with all upfront accommodation and travel expenses fully reimbursed through NSLP.

What You Bring to Our Team

• Licensed to practice as a Physician in Ontario and in good standing with the CPSO
• Demonstrated ability to provide professional, caring approach with patients, public, department staff, fellow physicians, staff from other departments and other institutes and agencies

Required Certifications

• ATLS – Advanced Trauma Life Support

• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support

• NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
