The clinic currently includes family physicians and specialist services and provides established administrative and operational support, allowing physicians to focus on patient care while benefiting from an experienced clinic team.

Practice Opportunity

Queensway Medical Centre is seeking family physicians interested in joining an established community practice and helping shape the future of primary care delivery in Ottawa. The clinic is preparing for several upcoming physician retirements, including one physician retiring in early 2027 and additional retirements anticipated over the next several years.

This presents a unique opportunity for physicians interested in building or growing a comprehensive family practice while benefiting from the support and stability of a long-standing clinic. Opportunities exist to assume responsibility for established patient rosters, including practices serving approximately 1,300 and 1,900 patients.

The clinic is particularly interested in connecting with physicians who are looking to establish a long-term practice in Ottawa and may have an interest in participating in the development of a future Family Health Organization (FHO).

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred family medicine and building long-term relationships with patients and families. Physicians should be comfortable working collaboratively within a community-based practice environment and have an interest in continuity of care, chronic disease management, preventive care, and health promotion. Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills are essential.
