About the Role

Blanche River Health is seeking dedicated Locum Physicians to join our team at the Kirkland Lake Site. Whether you are looking for short-term block coverage, weekend coverage, or regular locum rotations, we offer flexible scheduling! Our Kirkland Lake site offers services including general surgery, anesthesia, visiting specialists, diagnostic imaging with CT scanner, laboratory services, physiotherapy, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services (including on-site chemotherapy mixing). We also have a satellite oncology clinic (via OTN through HSN), as well as mental health and palliative and discharge care services.

Given that we are in a rural setting, physicians may encounter occasions where they are required to manage critical situations independently, so comfort with a broad scope of emergency care is important.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Licensure: Independent Practice license with the CPSO. Must be in good standing.
• Active CMPA coverage and good standing with regulatory bodies.
• Required Certifications:
  • ATLS – Advanced Trauma Life Support
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Remuneration & Schedule

• Competitive Remuneration: Dayshift: $268/hr + 10% shadow billing // Nightshift: $220/hr + 10% shadow billing
• Flexibility: Work on your terms - single shifts, weekend blocks, or extended coverage available.
• Shifts: 5hr,10hr, 14hr (night shift) and 24hr shifts available.
