The Welland McMaster Family Health Team is seeking a Family Physician Locum to provide coverage within a collaborative, team-based primary care setting in Welland, Ontario, beginning August 1.

This is an excellent opportunity for a family physician looking for flexible locum work in a supportive environment with access to an experienced interprofessional team.

About the Opportunity

The successful physician will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of the Welland McMaster Family Health Team. The locum physician will be supported by a dedicated administrative team and allied health professionals, allowing for a collaborative approach to patient care.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing episodic and ongoing primary care coverage
• Managing booked patient appointments
• Reviewing results and follow-up items as appropriate
• Supporting continuity of care during the locum period
• Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff
• Participating in team-based care within the Family Health Team model

The Welland McMaster Family Health Team provides comprehensive primary care services to patients in Welland and the surrounding Niagara community. The team includes physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, administrative staff, and allied health professionals who work together to support accessible, high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must be:

• Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Eligible to practise family medicine in Ontario
• Registered with or eligible for registration with the CMPA
• Comfortable working in a team-based primary care environment
• Committed to patient-centred, compassionate care
