ONE-YEAR MATERNITY LEAVE COVERAGE NEEDED

Overview

MATERNITY LEAVE COVERAGE NEEDED A one-year long family medicine locum is required in Huntsville, Ontario to cover an upcoming maternity leave. All or a portion of the leave is available, depending on your availability. You will be part of a supportive FHO practice caring for a roster of approximately 600 patients. This is a great opportunity to learn about the community while you transition to a permanent practice. You also have the option to provide In-Patient Coverage and/or Hospitalist Services at Muskoka Algonquin Health Care's (MAHC) Huntsville District Memorial Hospital site, located adjacent to the clinic. Huntsville District Memorial Hospital is a 48-bed hospital serving 20,000 local residents and 85,000 seasonal residents. Our tourist population is much larger in the summer when people take advantage of our lakes and rivers or visit the world-renowned Algonquin Provincial Park. https://www.mahc.ca/

Supports

• Local consults are provided by General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Urology, GP Anaesthesia, GP OB and Palliative Care Team
• Psychiatry support is available in the region, mainly from colleagues in Orillia
• Orthopedics support is available in Barrie, Orillia and Collingwood
• On-site laboratory services, CT, Ultrasound, ECHO, X-Ray, Mammography, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Therapy, Dialysis, Chemotherapy at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital.
