Easily accessible to the 400 series highways, Orillia is a growing community of 35,000, serving a catchment population of 100,000. Catchment area includes Orillia, Severn, Oro-Medonte, Ramara and Chippewas (Mnjikaning) of Rama First Nations. This is an excellent opportunity to practice and care for a diverse patient population. Wide age range of patients, provides an opportunity for broad based primary care PLUS options for obstetrics, palliative care and hospital work (including ER, hospitalist, and OR assisting). High needs and older patients waiting for new physicians in the community.

Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is located in the City of Orillia providing a comprehensive range of programs and services including medical, surgical and emergency care, as well as outpatient services. Through OSMH's regional programs we are able to offer kidney care, orthopedic care, sexual assault and domestic violence treatment, adult mental health care, seniors care, as well as pediatric and neonatal intensive care to patients throughout North Simcoe Muskoka and beyond.
Remuneration: Physician income will be based on blended capitation for those looking to join Family Health Organization (FHO). Billings to the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and other reciprocal insurers. Earning potential will be dependent on roster size. Family Physicians that practice full time in eligible communities may be entitled for the Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (NRRRI).
