About the County of Simcoe

The County of Simcoe proudly owns and operates four accredited long-term care and senior services facilities, serving 1,300 residents and providing additional regional programs to older adults, such as Geriatric Mental Health. As well the County is responsible for Paramedic Services, a Community Paramedicine Program, and Social Housing.

Role Responsibilities

The Director will facilitate patient/client-centered operational advancements, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and scalability within a supportive culture. This position also provides strategic planning and direction in performance management and accountability for the staff in the program areas of Professional Development, Professional Practice, and Patient/Client Experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in progressively responsible leadership positions
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a senior leadership position, preferably in a healthcare environment
• University degree in Health or Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related discipline
• Post-graduate degree in Health Administration, Quality Improvement/Patient Safety, Health Economics and/or Knowledge Management
• Awareness of collective agreements
• Certificate in healthcare quality, patient safety and/or continuous quality improvement
• Significant experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement disciplines (considered an asset)
