Nestled on the shores of the beautiful Bay of Quinte in Southeastern Ontario, Belleville General Hospital is a robust 260-bed community hospital serving a vibrant region with excellent access to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and upstate New York. Our Emergency Department sees over 39,500 cases annually, with daily patient volumes ranging from 95–120.
We have various locum shifts available from September 1–30. Opportunities exist in both the fast-track and higher acuity area. All shifts average 8-9 hours. There may be up to four physicians on duty, depending on the time of day.
We're looking for physicians with CCFP (with ED experience), CCFP-EM, FRCPC, or ABMS. New grads are welcome to apply as well.

Many of our full-time emergency physicians are affiliated with Queen's University as Adjunct Assistant Professors, participating in resident training through the Queen's Belleville Family Medicine Program.
Quinte Health includes four hospitals—Belleville General, North Hastings, Prince Edward County Memorial, and Trenton Memorial—providing care across 335+ inpatient beds, 4 EDs, multiple ORs, ambulatory care clinics, rehab services, and mental health programs. Physicians may have opportunities to work across multiple sites.
