Located steps from Lake Huron in the beautiful beach town of Southampton, this hospital is a key rural health hub serving local residents, cottagers, and Indigenous communities including Saugeen First Nation. Emergency volumes increase significantly during the summer months, providing a dynamic practice environment in a collegial and supportive setting.

• 18,462 Emergency Department visits annually (~50 per day; higher in summer)
• 20-bed inpatient unit
• Core services include: Emergency Department, Inpatient Care, Family Practice, Long-Term Care, Palliative Care, Home Visits, Indigenous Health, Substance Use and Addiction Support, Occupational Health, GP-Anesthesia (endoscopy/scopes), Medical Education & Teaching

Brightshores Health System is expanding its Rural Emergency Medicine physician group and is currently seeking physicians to join the team at Southampton Hospital. Requirements

• ED experience and ACLS, PALS certifications.
• Applicable CCFP, CCFP-EM or RCPSC designation.
• Independent license to practice in Ontario.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Emergency Department Alternate Funding Agreement(s) with applicable hourly rates and related billings.
